We all know that the Tampa Bay Area is a lively municipality year-round, but for residents, it is an especially a fun place to be in October! We put together a list of some of our favorite October events so you can enjoy them as much as we do. Here are our Tampa Bay October must-see events:
Howl-O-Scream: Unforeseen terrors lurk around every corner at Busch Gardens’ Howl-O-Scream. Roam the park for frightening creatures and visit terrifying haunted houses throughout the night. Busch Gardens even leaves their top thrilling roller coaster rides open at night so you can scream your way through the dark.

Halloween Horror Nights: Although not located in Tampa, Halloween Horror Nights is a favorite amongst many locals here. The drive to Universal Orlando is about a quick 1.5 hours away, but the trip is definitely worth the scare. From spooky mazes filled with demons and vampires to terrifying haunted houses, Horror Nights is an event you won’t want to miss this year.

Guppyween: Take your little ones to roam the Florida Aquarium with wild animals, princesses, and ghosts at Guppyween! Your “little fish” can trick-or-treat with over 20,000 sea creatures this year at this family-friendly event.

Boo Bash at Coachman Park: Enjoy free hayrides, games, and a costume parade to celebrate Halloween with the Clearwater community.
Where: Bright House Field, 601 N. Old Coachman Rd.
When: Tuesday, Oct. 31, Times are TBD
Halloween Spooktacular Event at Largo Central Park: Plan on taking the family to Largo Park this year to enjoy a trick-or-treat trail, hay maze, games, music, and lots of activities. Bounce houses and a petting zoo are some of the kids’ favorite activities at this event.
